Learn from the 2011 Christchurch earthquake, which transformed this New Zealand city.
It provides first-hand insights into the types of damage that occurred to numerous heritage masonry buildings during the 2010-2011 earthquake sequence, illustrates the historical significance of various buildings and showcases earthquake-strengthening techniques that worked and others that didn’t.
The observations in this book are an essential guide to help preserve much-loved historic buildings in the future, ultimately saving lives globally.
Hear from Dmytro.
“It has given us a window into understanding how certain [earthquake strengthening] methodologies have performed better than others, and why.
That has really put the learnings from these earthquakes on a global map.”
